The Recon 40 features a completely sealed body* for use in harsh weather. The use of o-rings and a custom SO-239 gasket ensures a reliable seal between components.
* For a completely weather resistant deployment, the user must waterproof the coax connection at the SO-239 connector.

Designed for use on the ham radio bands, the Recon 40 is capable of tuning 40-10 meters with the [Z]-17 telescoping whip.

The integrated coil bypass switch allows you to change bands with the flick of a switch. No need to build a jumper or remove the coil, just flip the switch to direct-feed the whip!
