The patent pending Scout base is the key component of the Scout antenna system from REZ Antenna Systems. The Scout base is the central hub of the system and serves as the attachment point for the coaxial cable and various antenna accessories. This flexibility allows the antenna to be tailored to the needs of the operator.  The body is made from 6061 anodized CNC machined aluminum. The  body is weather resistant thanks to its unique design and  SO-239 gasket.
Thanks to it’s unique, compact design and complimenting accessories, this lightweight base can be configured as a resonant or non-resonant antenna. Resonant options include a 1/4 wave vertical, a coil loaded vertical, a 1/2 wave wire or rigid dipole, a hamstick dipole and a coil loaded rigid dipole. With a tuner, the Scout can be configured as a non-resonant antenna and used as a random wire vertical antenna, a delta loop, or an end fed random wire antenna.
 
The Scout also features our rapid-deploy radial system. At the heart of this system are the integrated radial ports which accept up to eight 4mm banana plugs. This enables quick attachment of REZ Antenna Systems’ 4 wire radial kit to enable use as a 1/4 wave vertical antenna.
