Get on the air fast with the Ranger 80™ HF antenna system. The Ranger 80™ is a rugged, base loaded vertical, designed for portable, rapid deployment. Perfect for ham radio portable operations such as Parks on the Air, field day, and emergency communications. Because of it’s superior build quality and reliability, The Ranger 80 is well suited for EmComm services and NGOs using the HF bands. Precision machined in the USA from premium materials, the Ranger 80™ coil will fine tune from 80 meters to 15 meters using the included heavy duty military whip. The Ranger 80™ will handle up to 200 watts SSB and 100 watts digital (50% duty cycle). Our rapid-deploy radial system uses a custom radial “puck” that accepts up to eight 4mm banana plugs. This enables quick attachment of the included 4 wire radial kit and leaves room to expand your radial field for increased performance. No more fumbling around with radial wire connections, just plug in and get on the air. The antenna system mounts on the included ground spike or optional [z]Pod™ using standard 3/8-24 mounting hardware. This means it’s also compatible with many industry standard mounting accessories for ultimate flexibility. The included 9.3 foot military whip sets up in seconds and collapses to a compact size for transport. When you’re done making QSO’s, the entire system packs neatly into the included backpack.

Tech Tips:
We recommend coating each of the military whip ferrules with a very light coat of dielectric compound for maximum performance.
When in harsh environments, clean the coil after each use with a damp cloth followed by a dry microfiber cloth.
