Machined from Acetal (Delrin® equivalent), this adapter serves as both a mechanical coupler and a critical electrical insulator. Unlike aluminum or metal-bodied adapters, the insulating Acetal body prevents the tripod from becoming part of your antenna’s ground system. This helps avoid unpredictable tuning, hidden efficiency losses, and unwanted pattern distortion in the field—especially important when using elevated radial systems or high-impedance matching.
