When paired with the Scout base, the [Z]-25SS is resonant as a ¼-wave vertical from 30 through 6 meters. Add the Scout 4025 loading coil, and it easily loads up 40 meters. Pair it with the Recon 40 for 40–6 meter coverage, or go all the way from 80–6 meters with the Ranger 80 system.

IMPORTANT: Due to the length of this antenna is a requirement that the mounting tripod be weighted. We recommend a minimum of 15 lbs. of weight when deploying this whip on the [Z] Pod. In winds above 12 mph guying is strongly recommended.
